Care & Handling
Freshly Tied Peony Bouquets
Each bouquet from Blush & Bloom is hand-wrapped and tied with a satin ribbon, finished with our signature label (shown below). We take care to package your flowers with love and simplicity, just as if we were hand delivering them to you. Inside, await your freshly cut peonies, ready for you to place in your favorite vase.

Once you get your blooms home, unwrap and using a clean tool and vase, trim the stems at a 45-degree angle, and arrange in a clean vase with fresh lukewarm water. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1/4 teaspoon or less of bleach for 1 Liter of water to keep the water fresher and extend the vase life. A little fluffing and spacing will let the blooms open up beautifully over the next few days. The vase water should be changed every couple of days to keep the peonies fresh.

Instructions for Peony Care after Wholesale Delivery
Follow these instructions for how to unpack and reinvigorate your new bloom buds. Enjoy and have fun!
Unpack
Unpack the box with your shipped blooms and unwrap the blooms. Place the blooms in a cooler or fridge unwrapped and dry until the next day (unless you need to open them today). If you have room in a cooler or fridge, you can leave the blooms in the box unpacked.
Recut
When ready to arrange, ensure that all vases and cutting tools are clean. Recut the stems at a 45-degree angle and place the blooms in lukewarm water with the preservative recipe as follows. We use 1/4 tsp beach and 1 tsp sugar for a large vase (1 liter of water).
Bloom
Allow blooms to open at room temperature away from direct light. Blooms will open in a few hours to 1 day depending on the variety (the fuller the bloom, the longer it will take the blooms to open). If you need to hasten the bloom opening, use warmer water.
If you need to delay the bloom time, place arrangements in the cooler or fridge (38-40 F) or the coolest temp you have, away from windows and sunlight.
