Building a peony farm wasn't necessarily our dream...but it's been more than we could have dreamed of.
 
Who would have thought an Accountant and Geneticist would be building a peony farm! The idea to grow a peony farm came out of our mutual love for peonies along with our passion to create something long-lasting.  With one of us having a business background and one of us having a background in biology, we are truly set up for success.  It's amazing to look back on how the series of small decisions we made to have a better work-life balance and more freedom led us to create this Canadian business.

The last year has been a time of personal growth, business research and development.  We would not have made it to this point without the support and hard work of our family.  It truly takes a team to build and support a family business.  Many family members pour time into Blush & Bloom Peony Farm.  Whether it's delivering your bouquets, setting up the irrigation system or helping with the website.  We are very grateful that our family business is on family owned land that goes back generations, it means so much to us to spend time with our extended family!

Our cut flower farm will be partnering with wholesalers, flower shops and other customers through online ordering, farmers markets and local vendors. Offering a large volume and variety of peonies at a competitive price and reduced shipping cost for local businesses.

Most of our peony roots come from a world renowned grower in The Netherlands.  This grower offers the best disease resistant peonies and offered us a trustworthy business relationship, which Canadians have come to appreciate from European vendors.  We are excited that the peonies will be planted in October 2025.  There will be rare and unique varieties that can't be found anywhere else in Canada.  We have selected 24 varieties and 10 colours that will bloom at 4 intervals from May through July, which allows for fresh peonies over various months.  We have perfected our storing methods which allows us to store peonies for up to 2 months, to extend the short peony season.

We anticipate the first flowers to be ready in Spring 2026.  Until ours are ready, during peony season we will be selling peonies from our colleagues in Alberta and British Columbia as a thank you for supporting our business in the early learning stages.  Our family looks forward to meeting you and offering you beautiful peonies that make your hearts blush and dreams bloom.
